Hi..I will like to give half of a star but they don't have that option..My mother was there in September 2017. Since her first day there it was like we are going through nightmares.l had to Visit my mother morning and night everyday. One of the mornings l decided to stay home because I was exhausted due to many times I had to stay late taking care of my mother...in a care center.i was concerned about my mother's care. It was also affecting my job. But that was a big mistake . That morning i couldnt make it , she ended back in the hospital. What a relief it was for me. . Now we can start a fresh road to recovery.
Happy Hazzard nurses who do not take care of the poor people stuck in a bed. The patent is helpless to receive care. Nurse call buttons take 30 minutes to answer. What is wrong? Every hospital has to be inspected by the health department. They do not have a current file of inspection. Something bad is wrong here.
My father was a patient at Select back from February until May of 2017. This place is great! They successfully weaned my father from his ventilator and provided him with excellent physical therapy! They were very attentive and prompt in answering call lights and taking his vitals. The staff always assured that he was clean and comfortable. Dr. Wabba was very "hands on" and AMAZING! Tammy was very helpful in organizing transport for my family to and from the facility. The staff communication was excellent in that they always kept us informed of our father's progress. We would recommend this facility to anyone who needs it!!
My mother has been on a ventilator since March of 2017 and it has been a challenge for myself and my family. If it weren’t for the care and compassion provided by Select Specialty Hospital of New Jersey, I don’t know what we would do. Because her condition is so complex, this is the third time she has been at Select PER OUR CHOICE! Dr. Wabba Ana the entire Select Specialty team has been wonderful! The visiting hours are flexible and family members can even spend the night if they need to. And although there is no “perfect” place, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a 9. My family and I would recommend this hospital to any family whose loved one would qualify for this level of care.
My wife was a patient at Select back in May of 2017. In a word, this Hospital was awesome! When you deal with human beings, you deal in percentages. Therefore I would give this hospital 90% and the other 10% I would identify as experience because no one is perfect. The most important thing to me was that when I had to undergo abdominal surgery, I could rest comfortably knowing that my Donna was being well cared for. The staff was very compassionate and respectful. In addition, they were very accommodating in allowing me to stay with her overnight as much as I wanted to. I highly recommend this place.
